QUINN, GERARD THOMAS - Gerard "Jerry" Thomas Quinn, of Palm Coast, FL, formerly of New City, passed away December 3, 2002. He was predeceased by his beloved wife of 53 years, Joan. Loving husband, father and grandfather, Dad took great pride in his family. He was a man whose Catholic faith guided him in his daily life. Born in Brooklyn May 23, 1920 to Patrick and Margaret Donnelly Quinn, he attended St. Mary's Junior Seminary in Pennsylvania, St. Francis Prep and Columbia University. He served in WWII under General Patton in the 752nd Tank Battalion, Company B. A corporate officer and general manager with Beckerle Lumber Company, he and Joan retired to Palm Coast in 1982. A former member at Rockland Country Club and Pine Lakes Golf, Dad was an avid golfer to the end. Past President of Spring Valley Lions and New City Park Lake Association. Dad cherished his friendships - both old and new. He enjoyed parish variety shows, the family's horses, his fruit trees and song. Jerry is survived by his 10 children, Joan Ellen Quinn of Pearl River, Larry Quinn of Suffern, Catherine Quinn Oswald of New City Park, Anne Mueller of St. Cloud, MN, Patricia Q. Miranda of Chestnut Ridge, Colleen Quinn of New City Park, Paul Quinn of New City, Maria Buechli of West Nyack, Monica Finch of East Quoque, Christopher Quinn of Millbrook, his eight loving sons and daughters-in-law, his 23 beloved grandchildren, sister Catherine Noon of Palm Coast, FL and brother John Quinn of Chester, VA. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10 am on Saturday, at St. Anthony's Church. Burial will follow at St. Anthony's Cemetery. Visiting Thursday and Friday 2-4 and 7-9 pm.
