GATE GUARD / CHECKER (HAVERSTRAW)
• The Checker (Gate Guard) controls traffic to and from the buildings and grounds in the yard.
• Inspects paperwork and content of outgoing traffic to prevent unauthorized removal of company property or products.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS & QULAIFICATIONS:
• The position involves standing, walking, reaching, lifting, bending, crouching, climbing, pushing, pulling and sitting for long periods of time throughout the day.
• Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds.
• Exposed to cold weather in the winter and hot weather in the summer.
• Previous lumber or building supplies experience strongly desired.
English/Spanish Speaking Sales/Stock Position: Responsible for assisting customers in the purchase of lumber, paint and associated products while maintaining/merchandising store inventory.
SHOWROOM Sales: Responsible for assisting customers in the purchase of millwork and associated products. Offers design assistance, follows up with customers, and is responsible for meeting sales goals. Generate leads and respond to leads given to them. Travel to jobsites and provide excellent customer service.
Driver: Responsible for delivering materials to customers. CDL license is more valuable but there are opportunities for NON-CDL drivers to obtain their commercial drivers license.
Office/Sales Position: Responsible for assisting customers in the purchase of lumber, paint and associated products while maintaining office files,paperwork and answering phones.
