Rockland County Lead certification Training
DELAYED ENFORCEMENT
The EPA responded to concerns from industry groups and announced a delay in the enforcement of the
LEAD laws (LRRP) to give renovation firms and their workers additional time to become trained and certified.
As the rule stands, the EPA will NOT take enforcement action for violations until after
October 1, 2010. In addition, the EPA will NOT enforce against individual renovation workers
if the person has enrolled in, or applied to enroll in, a certified renovator class by no later than September 30.
Renovators must complete the training by December 31, 2010.
